LORI APPEARS WITH THE CABALLEROS AT THE MCCALLUM FEATURING THE HOLLYWOOD GRAFFITI GOWN

All photographs by Tony DiMaio

I had the pleasure of performing with the Palm Springs Caballeros in their Christmas concert. Beyond my wildest expectations, I was chosen by Emmy Award winning designers, Jerry Skeels and Randy McLaughlin, to wear the famed HOLLYWOOD GRAFFITI GOWN which they created to raise awareness of AIDS and whose mission it is to bring women of all ages and cultures together to make a significant impact through fashion with world wide influence. There are over 400 signatures on the gown: some of the luminaries include Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand, Mother Theresa, Bette Davis and Judy Garland. Most recent additions are the women of “Desperate Housewives”.

It was truly an honor to represent this philanthropic project (not unlike the AIDS QUILT). It turned out to be a life changing experience for me! Not only is the gown beautiful and filled with the loving energy of the creators, but it literally vibrates with a life force of it’s own! Truly – an uplifting healing adventure for this gal from South Dakota! Am I blessed or what?

Jerry and Randy plan to tour with the gown world wide to raise money for various Aids projects and will eventually put it on the auction block with an opening bid of $1,000,000!!!!
